Your value is determined by what you accomplish and accumulate, and how much you’re valued by others. Your value is intrinsic, and it’s derived from relaxing your self-protectiveness, and connecting with the inherent goodness of your core self.
You are in charge of your life, and you make intentional choices. We are all deeply creatures of habit. The vast majority of the choices we make occur automatically, by habit, or in response to an external demand.
What’s real is what you can see, measure, and understand rationally. How you’re feeling in any given moment is the primary influence on how you live and lead.
More, bigger, faster is the best way to achieve higher productivity. Balancing the expenditure of energy with the intermittent renewal of energy is the key to sustainable productivity.
You have one primary source of knowledge and intelligence: your mind You have four primary sources of intelligence: the mind, the body, the heart, and the spirit. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
We live in a binary world defined by certainties: right or wrong, good or bad, winner or loser, better than or less than. We live in a deeply complex world with vanishingly few simple answers and a deep need to balance opposing truths.
The path to excellence is to focus on your strengths and avoid your weaknesses. It’s only by relaxing your defenses and acknowledging your vulnerabilities that you can tap into the full range of your resources.
By the time you reach adulthood, your growth is largely complete. The rest is skill-building. You are fully capable of becoming a richer, wiser, and deeper human being throughout your adult life.
