Vice President, Organizational Consulting

Norm Pure is a Vice President, Organizational Consulting at The Energy Project. He has facilitated programs at organizations including Nestle USA, Albemarle, Ahold/Stop & Shop, Pfizer, KPMG, Lincoln Financial Group, Bayer, Nestle-Purina, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Boehringer-Ingleheim, and Facebook. Additionally, Norm works with client organizations to assist in their organizational transformation.
Before joining The Energy Project, Norm spent four years on the faculty at The Sanctuary Institute, guiding New York State Juvenile Justice facilities through a trauma-informed organizational change model.
Norm’s background includes many years on the faculty at Ithaca College, where he taught in the field of leadership development. He led participants on wilderness expeditions, where he learned how individuals and groups behave and perform in extreme conditions, and has transferred this experience to the corporate “wilderness.” He also spent ten years working as the Recreation Director in a Juvenile Justice facility.
Norm earned an undergraduate degree in Outdoor Education and has a master’s in Management from the State University of New York at Cortland. Norm lives in Ithaca, NY with his wife, and they have three adult children.
