Norm’s background includes many years on the faculty at Ithaca College, where he taught in the field of leadership development. He led participants on wilderness expeditions, where he learned how individuals and groups behave and perform in extreme conditions, and has transferred this experience to the corporate “wilderness.” He also spent ten years working as the Recreation Director in a Juvenile Justice facility.
Norm earned an undergraduate degree in Outdoor Education and has a master’s in Management from the State University of New York at Cortland. Norm lives in Ithaca, NY with his wife, and they have three adult children.
I find myself continually helping others learn the very same things I myself am struggling with. The Energy Project exposes participants to the concept of increasing personal capacity to meet life’s increasing demands, and to take care of oneself physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I admit I need to be very intentional to stay fueled in at least two of the dimensions at any given time, and the content allows me to do that.
